Het Spelderholt, Centre for Poultry and Rabbits Organic Eprints
It has facilities for all kinds of poultry (layers, broilers, turkeys and ducks), and for rabbits. There is also a hatchery. Attention is paid to animal welfare, organic farming, environment, health, feeding, economics, labour and working conditions. One stable has a capacity of 2000 organic laying hens divided over 8 experimental subunits.

HRI, University of Warwick: Long-term crop experiments Organic Eprints
Long-term trials on production of organic field vegetables at Wellesbourne and Kirton. Organic plots have been monitored from the start of conversion in 1995-6. A full cropping history and soil analysis data are available. Wide range of facilities and environments for field studies e.g. 20 ha in arable reversion cropped with various grass mixes and available for environmental and ecological studies.

Informe: Finca Experimental La Higueruela (Spain) Organic Eprints
The experimental farm La Higueruela is located in Santa Ollala (Toledo, Spain), 80km far from Madrid. It has a 90 hectares surface. It belows to the Environmental Sciences Center of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)since 1972. During this period many scientists from this organism and other institutions (University, National and Regional public research centers and private enterprises) have developed their trials here. Kleinhohenheimheim - ökologisch bewirtschaftete Versuchsstation der Universität Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Deutschland Organic Eprints
Die Versuchsstation Kleinhohenheim ist eine von mehreren Versuchsstationen, die von der Fakultät Agrarwissenschaften der Universität Hohenheim betrieben wird. Seit 1994 wird Kleinhohenheim biologisch-dynamisch bewirtschaftat. Die Versuchsstation umfasst ca. 60 ha Nutzfläche, die zur einen Hälfte als ackerbaulich und zur anderen Hälfte als Grünland genutzt wird. Auf dem Betrieb werden Fleischschafe gehalten (250 Mutterschafe plus Nachzucht). Kleinhohenheim ist Mitglied bei Demeter, Bioland und Naturland und wird jährlich entsprechend zertifiziert.

Langzeitmonitoring zur Entwicklung des biologischen Landbaus auf den Feldern der Bundesversuchswirtschaften GmbH in Rutzendorf Organic Eprints
Auf dem 140 ha großen Biobetrieb der Landwirtschaftlichen Bundesversuchswirtschaften GmbH in Rutzendorf wurde 2003 ein umfassendes Langzeitmonitoring zur Entwicklung des biologischen Landbaus eingerichtet. Die Wirkungen der Umstellung auf den biologischen Landbau auf Boden, Wasser, Flora und Fauna werden anhand ausgewählter Eigenschaften erfasst. Entsprechend der Konzeption des Betriebs werden drei Düngungsvarianten verglichen. Die Bedeutung verschiedener vorhandener Biotope (Gehölzstreifen, Hecken, ...) wird charakterisiert und neue, ergänzende Biotope sollen geplant und angelegt werden.

Langzeitversuch Darmstadt Organic Eprints
In 1980 a fertilization trial started at the Institute for Biodynamic Research in Darmstadt, Germany, comprising farmyard manure treatments with and without biodynamic preparations and mineral fertilization, each at various levels. The objective of the project was to study the product quality of vegetables and of rye. After this four year project, interesting differences began to emerge with respect to the soil parameters of organic and mineral treatments. Thus the trial was continued. Lilla Böslid försöksstation Organic Eprints
Lilla Böslid ligger 1–2 km från havet i en förnämlig jordbruksbyggd strax söder om Halmstad. Klimatet är milt och årsnederbörden cirka 800 mm. Gården omfattar 98 ha åker och har sedan 1979 bedrivits som en ren växtodlingsgård. De 76 ekologiska hektaren, som fördelar sig på 62 ha lerjord och 14 ha sandjord, odlas enligt KRAV:s regler. Resterande 23 ha odlas konventionellt för omfattande potatisförsök. På lerjorden skedde en successiv omläggning under perioden 1989–1993. Sandjorden lades i karens 1994. Innan omläggningen låg marken några år i omställning 90-programmet. Dessförinnan odlades främst spannmål, oljeväxter och ärter. Hushållningssällskapet fick Lilla Böslid i donation 1984. Long term crop rotation trials at Jyndevad research station Organic Eprints
The experimental stations at Jyndevad was established in 1939, only a few kilometres from the Danish German border. The station has a total of 90 ha of farmed land, of which 79 ha are suited for experimental purposes. The soil is very a uniform Jb1 with 72 % of coarse sand. Due to the sandy soil, Jyndevad has specialized in irrigation. At Jyndevad there are two organic crop rotation systems at a total of 12 ha. The crop rotation systems are func-tioning as a platform for other research projects.

Muuruvesi college and organic farm Organic Eprints
Muuruvesi Organic Farm (owned by the Savo Vocational College) is situated in Eastern Fin-land (63° N 28° E). The fields of Muuruvesi farm have been under organic farming partly since 1988 and the whole farm since 1995. The arable area is 145 hectares and the soil type is mainly silt, containing 3-6 % organic matter. The crop rotation consists of silage, pasture, hay, oats, barley and peas. The farm has had organic milk production since 1998. There are 60 cows and average milk yield is 9,500 kg/year. A new cowshed was built in 2001 and now it is possible to make feeding experiments with cows in 2-3 groups. There is also 3,000 m² of greenhouse are in the organic production of tomatoes and cucumber and some pepper, honeydew melon and aubergine.

Organic farm KWS Klostergut Wiebrechtshausen GmbH Organic Eprints
In 2002 KWS SAAT AG took a conventional arable farm on lease and converted it to organic farming. Management is done by the daughter company KWS Klostergut Wiebrechtshausen GmbH. Due to EC-regulation 2091/92 and additionally to the guidelines of Naturland farming is performed. The farm is aimed to produce seed (cereal, potato). Furthermore varieties and lines of different crops of the KWS group are tested on their suitability in organic farming. A specific breeding program for organic corn varieties is running. Wiebrechtshausen is a location of the official variety trials in Lower Saxony. The farm is involved in permanent investigations on seed treatment of various crops (cereals, corn, sugar beet) and in a two-years program on organic sugar beet growing.

The fields of Karila experimental station have been under organic farming partly since 1995 (4 hectares) and partly since 2001 (5,5 hectares). Nowadays they are under crop rotation of organic dairy farm consisting of 2 year old clover based leys, pulse crops and vetch based green fodder. Soil type is fine sand. Organic fields of MTT Agrifood Research Finland Partala Organic Eprints
The fields of Partala experimental station have been under organic farming since 1985. Nowadays they are under crop rotation of organic dairy farm consisting of 2 year old clover based leys, pulse crops and vetch based green fodder. The soil type is moraine soil and nutrient status is quite diverse. The annual rainfall is about 650 mm, average temperature 3.5°C, growing season 190 days and effective temperature sum 1250°C. There is also a two hectare spatial field, where lots of chemical, physical and biological parameters as well as quality and quantity of clover based ley have been determined in 105 spots. Some nutrient leaching data has been collected from certain plots, too.

Organic Research and Education Farm Droevendaal Organic Eprints
It covers 50 ha of which 32 ha is actually available for research and education purposes. The remaining 18 ha consist of permanent pastures and nature. Droevendaal is a mixed farm aiming at a closed cycle. The herd comprises of 65 bull calves from Aver Heino, Centre for Organic Farming, for the production of 'organic young beef'.
